Guitar Equalizer

What Do Guitar Equalizers Do?

What the heck is a guitar equalizer you ask? Well, this machine controls the response of the frequency in different bands. The controls on the machine may be sliders or they may be round. These types of instruments are used in recording studios to make the music sound perfect. This is why live concerts sound (for the most part) a lot different then the CD the band may have produced.

The tone of a guitar can be changed significantly by placing a distortion equalizer in there. You can also alter the voicing of a guitar depending on where in the chain you place the device. If you want total control over the voicing of the guitar, place another equalizer pedal after a distortion pedal. You can also used a dummy load system if you wish. Different ways to equalize include the wah-wah pedals, phase shifters, and other devices. Guitar Effects >>
